A Seamless Flow of Information

CHICAGO - Working from a lead, the Sheraton Chicago, a PSAV venue, teamed up with PSAV National Operations and Global Sales to support the World Congress of Endourology for its annual meeting where live surgeries were broadcasted in HD from the operating theater into the Sheraton Chicago ballroom. Cameras, HD switchers and projection equipment used in seven ballroom sections supported the two-way communication between the hotel and hospitals located around the world.

This event technology allowed for both seamless interaction between medical colleagues as well as an impressively realistic visual experience for all of the attendees. More than a thousand presentations were uploaded, managed, and pushed back out via PSAV's Content Management System (CMS) to 20+ different meeting spaces.

Due to the size of each presentation the demands on the attendee's time, the CMS System proved to be a perfect tool for juggling a heavy load of content with numerous presenters in a packed panel format. At peak, the PSAV team consisted of more than 60 individuals from a variety of areas throughout the company.

In the post-convention report, lead meeting planner for International Conference Services Blair Hiltz noted that PSAV was awesome to work with.
