PSAV Leadership Team
Chief Executive Officer
Mike McIlwain was appointed PSAV’s Chief Executive Officer in May 2011. He joined PSAV in August 2009 as its Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him more than 20 years of financial and managerial experience.
McIlwain began his career as an accountant with KPMG and later served as Chief Financial Officer of Motor Coach Industries prior to joining PSAV.
McIlwain maintains a commitment to open collaboration among PSAV’s internal stakeholders to meet the company’s purpose to connect and inspire people while delivering strong organic growth. He is an active member of MPI and PCMA, and is a board member of AH&LA. Successful Meetings named him to the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry List in 2016.
McIlwain was born and raised in Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mississippi State University and his MBA in tax from the University of Alabama. He was named one of the top 100 from MSU School of Business as part of their 100 for 100 celebration in 2016 and was named the 2017 MSU Alumni Fellow for the School of Business.
He is involved in the alumni foundation for MSU as well as charitable activities for his church. He enjoys biking, running, reading and traveling with his family. He has been married to his wife, Susan, for 25 years, and they have five children, Allie, Kathryn, Grace, Amelia and Joe Watt.
Ben Erwin was named President of PSAV in October 2018. He oversees global operations, sales and marketing, IT and product management.
Erwin was hired as PSAV’s Chief Financial Officer in February 2015 and was responsible for global accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, tax and product management. He has a proven track record of developing global corporate strategies, leading finance organizations, and building high-performance teams.
Prior to joining PSAV, Erwin served as Chief Financial Officer for TestAmerica Laboratories, where he led all accounting, finance, treasury, information technology and legal functions. Prior to 2011, he served as SVP Corporate Development for Cornell Companies, where he managed corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis, public market capital transactions, and investor relations. He has also held various positions at Enron Corporation and Trilogy Software.
Erwin earned his bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science from Wake Forest University. He is currently serving on the board of directors for both PCMA and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).
Outside of work, he dedicates his energy to charter schools in underserved parts of the United States. He enjoys running, traveling, and following the Boston Red Sox. He lives in Chicago’s North Shore area with his wife and two daughters.
Chief Commercial Officer
Michael Leone was named Chief Commercial Officer for PSAV in October 2018. He is responsible for the company’s Global Sales and Marketing functions. In this role, he works to streamline these two key areas of the business in order to bring synergy to all brand, promotion, social and customer interactions.
Previously, as PSAV’s Chief Operating Officer, Leone led global operations. He was also responsible for the Sales Effectiveness and Operations teams that directly contribute to in-venue sales opportunities. He brought more than 25 years of leadership experience to PSAV.
Prior to joining PSAV in January 2017, Leone worked as Chief Commercial Officer at KeHE, a $4.5B natural food distributor. He led sales, business development, marketing, supply chain and owned brands. He also spent 13 years with Aramark, starting as VP of Operations for its Conference Center Management division, and during his tenure, progressed through numerous leadership roles, was part of its Executive Leadership Council, and ended his tenure as President, Aramark Healthcare. He also brings hospitality industry knowledge to PSAV having worked as VP, General Manager of Oxford Development, where he oversaw its hotel and convention center portfolio.
Leone earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa.
Leone is an active member of MPI and PCMA, and is a board member of AH&LA. He is also active in his community and serves on the executive council of his church. He and his wife, Karen, have two daughters, Arden and Marin.
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Cathy Schlosberg was named SVP, Marketing in June 2019. She is responsible for global marketing, insights, communications and industry relations.
Prior to joining PSAV, Schlosberg spent 16 years with Aramark Corporation, most recently serving as VP of Global Insights and Innovation. She also held numerous executive-level marketing positions throughout her time with Aramark. Previously, Schlosberg held marketing leadership positions at Campbell Soup and Kraft General Foods.
Cathy earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University, and her master’s degree from Cornell University.
Chief Integration Officer
Cathie Kozik was named PSAV's Chief Integration Officer in October 2019. She is responsible for leading all company integration efforts to ensure a smooth transition for team members, meeting planner customers and venue partners.
Kozik joined PSAV in January 2015 as Chief Information Officer where she was responsible for ensuring PSAV had the information solutions needed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in delivering services to its customers around the globe. In this role, she delivered many game-changing solutions for the business.
Prior to joining PSAV, Kozik was the Executive Vice President and CIO for the Hub Group, a $3B transportation company. She was focused on reinvigorating the information technology team to deliver high-quality, on-time programs with strategic and secure use of cloud service offerings and other current technologies, processes and approaches.
Prior to the Hub Group, Kozik spent 10 years at Motorola, Inc., where she held roles in customer service and information technology. In addition to leading IT for key divisions, she led the information technology separation of the company as it split into two publicly traded companies in 2010. Prior to Motorola, she worked for Tellabs in engineering and information technology, serving as its first CIO, as well as for AT&T in engineering.
Kozik earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. She has earned several industry-related honors, including being named a Purdue Distinguished Engineer and to the CIO Hall of Fame.
Outside of PSAV, she serves on the board of Northwestern Medicine, one of the nation’s top healthcare providers, as well as the board for Lumity, a non-profit focused on ensuring every student has access to STEM career readiness throughout high school. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, biking, and spending time with her husband of 35 years, Jack, and their kids, Mike and Liz.
Chief Human Resource Officer
Charlie Young joined PSAV in June 2016 as its Chief Human Resources Officer. He is responsible for all areas of Human Resources, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, learning, talent, organizational development, and HR operations.
Young brings a wealth of operational and HR experience to the PSAV family. He has more than 20 years of progressive human resources experience, and for the eight years prior to joining PSAV, served as CHRO for hhgregg. Prior to hhgregg, he held various operational and leadership roles in his 21 years at Sears, working as a District Manager and Store General Manager before entering the HR discipline as a Senior Labor Relations Manager. He served as Vice President of HR for Sears Retail, and ultimately became the number two HR leader serving in the capacity of Vice President of HR Retail Store Operations and Supply Chain.
Young was born in Philadelphia and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialty in accounting from Gettysburg College.
Outside the office, he has volunteered time with the Salvation Army, the United Way, and supported a team outing to benefit Feed My Starving Children. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, traveling, renovating his home, and attending the athletic events of his kids, Charlie and Gracie. A car enthusiast, he also enjoys reading about the latest automotive innovations and has attended the Indianapolis 500 more than 15 times.
Chief Legal Officer
Whit Markowitz joined PSAV in July 2000 as its Chief Legal Officer. He is responsible for the legal, compliance and risk management departments. His areas of emphasis include corporate governance, commercial transactions, corporate finance, labor and employment law.
Markowitz has worked in the hospitality and audiovisual industries since the mid-1990s, including serving as Assistant General Counsel for KSL Resorts before joining PSAV. Prior to KSL Resorts, he worked in both the public and private sectors where he practiced general corporate law, real estate, and land use planning.
Markowitz earned his bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from the University of Denver. He is a member of the California and Colorado State Bar Associations.
In his personal time, he is a commercial pilot, avid downhill skier and scuba diver.
